The Murders in Great Diddling - New book by Katarina Bivald
A tribute to Agatha Christie, The Midsomer Murders and all the other charming detective stories that unite English pubs, strange village originals, scones and books with evil, imminent death. The Swedish author Berit Gardner has retired to a cottage in Cornwall to cure her writing cramps.
In a run-down village far from idyllic coastal cafes and tourists, she hopes to find peace and quiet, but when a murder takes place at a tea party with the odd villagers, it is just the opposite. Commissioner Ian Ahmed of the Devon & Cornwall Police will be in charge of the investigation. He is determined to find the perpetrator before more murders occur. The villagers, on the other hand, want to use the act to attract tourists, and Berit Gardner is soon involved in both village intrigue and murder investigation.
